PPKB President Calls For Study Of Japan's Education PolicyBandar Seri Begawan -

Dr Hj Mohd Hatta bin Hj Zainal Abidin, the President of the Brunei Solidarity National Party (PPKB), has put forward several steps that must be taken in line with the recent National Day theme, "Bersepadu Memperkasa Mandiri Bangsa" or Together Strengthening the Nation's Self-Reliance.

Dr Hj Mohd Hatta said that the nation's policies and visions must focus more towards the East, especially the education policies and system.PPKB said that it cannot be denied that results of our present education policies and system have produced local Bruneians who are skilled in fields of health, engineering, administration, economy and in the Islamic religion.

Towards developing further the scope of the nation's educational policies and system, PPKB has taken Japan as a prime example.

Dr Hj Mohd Hatta said that the country must not be embarrassed to study the way the Japanese "think and work"."It also doesn't mean that we forget our own culture," he added.

What is more important, he said, is that we learn their education policies and system so that in the future Bruneians will also be able to create high technology to be used by everyone.
